KORAIL MaaS (Mobility as a Service), offered through the “KORAIL TALK” train reservation app, has approached 6 million cumulative uses and is receiving enthusiastic responses from travelers.

Korail MaaS (Mobility as a Service) is available through the “KORAIL TALK” train reservation app, which provides nearly all travel-related functions. It integrates transportation and travel services including navigation, train location tracking, parking payment, airport bus reservations, car rentals, luggage delivery, leisure passes and tourist taxis. Users can comfortably travel by train according to their schedules. New services will continue to be added to KORAIL MaaS. In March, it introduced a service for pre-ordering beverages and bread that can be picked up at station stores.
Support services for foreign tourists are particularly popular. For tourists’ convenience, the service offers air and rail connections with 26 airlines including Singapore Airlines, Finnair and Qatar Airways. Luggage delivery, car rental and tourist taxi services are currently available in English, Chinese and Japanese. Although not all services from the Korean version of KORAIL are reflected yet, there are plans to gradually increase support services for travelers visiting Korea.
Luggage delivery, car rental and tourist taxi services can be accessed through the bottom menu of the main screen after selecting your preferred language from the KORAIL main screen. For luggage delivery, you can send items from one station to another within the same area. You can also use the service to deliver luggage from a station to your accommodation. If you want to check your luggage at Seoul Station, go sightseeing, and then receive your luggage at your hotel, this service is ideal.
The car rental reservation service is also useful for travelers. After entering the rental period, select the station for pickup and the station for return. This service is available at most stations served by KTX trains, and you can pick up and return the car at different stations based on your travel route.
The tourist taxi service allows you to book tours in 24 local regions that showcase Korea’s hidden charms. This includes many areas accessible by both KTX and regular trains. Each tour package includes information about pricing, recommended groups (family, couples, friends, infants, etc.), tour duration, and itinerary. To use these services, search for KORAILTalk in your device’s application market and download the app.

As spring fully arrives in Korea, the Cheongsando Slow Walking Festival will take place from Apr. 5 to May 4, offering visitors a chance to enjoy beautiful spring landscapes while experiencing the aesthetics of slow living.
Cheongsando is an island accessible by a 50-minute ferry ride from Wando Island in the South Sea. The island features stone wall paths, terraced rice fields constructed with local stones, canola flowers, blue ocean and other aspects that combine traditional culture with natural scenery. Recognizing its beauty and value internationally, it became Asia’s first designated “Cittaslow” (Slow City)—a title given to places that are livable, sustainable, and preserve local identity.
The island features the world’s first officially designated “Slow Road” by the International Cittaslow Federation. These paths, originally used by Cheongsando Island residents, earned their name because visitors naturally slow their pace while taking in the breathtaking scenery. The route consists of 17 trails organized into 11 courses, covering a total distance of 42.195 kilometers.
During the festival period, visitors can enjoy not only walking programs but also photography excursions and various experiential events. Participants can collect stamps for completing each Slow Road course, with gifts available for those who collect 4 or 11 stamps. Other activities include nighttime guided walks with local commentators, plogging (picking up litter while jogging) events, stage performances, and tteok (rice cake) making workshops using locally harvested rice. Additionally, visitors can rent picnic sets to enjoy spring on the island and join stargazing photography sessions on clear nights.
With the festival running for a full month, it’s recommended for anyone looking to take a break from daily life. Ferries to Cheongsando Island depart six times daily from Wando. Since departure times and schedules may vary, it’s advisable to check with the Wando Port Terminal website in advance.
