Choeae × Character

The Korean term “최애” (choeae) featured on the cover blends “최고” (choego, meaning “the best”) with “애정” (aejeong meaning “affection”). It’s used to describe something you love most dearly. In Korea, animated characters are simply called “characters.” And the word “ 캐릭터” on the cover is just the English word “character” written in Characters (Korean alphabet). People often draw courage and strength from cute, charming characters—cherishing them so deeply they sometimes become part of their identity. That’s why “choeae” and “character” frequently appear together in Korean. The cover showcases Korea’s beloved characters. Take a moment to appreciate these Korean characters that have captured so many hearts.

Bold Bracken: Gosari’s Flavorful Charms

Gosari

Bracken grows in abundance in Korea, and spring shoots, known as gosari, are not only edible, but also packed with flavor.
